In 2021, Dynequip turns 50 years old! We are thankful for our many clients and the always engaging projects we work on for them. Middle age is a good thing and with it comes a great deal of knowledge and experience. As gear up for 2021, we would like to take minute to share our story and give you a quick inside look into the varied projects we tackled in 2020.

Our story:
Dynequip was started by Vince Anderson and two partners in an Edina, MN basement in 1971. Vince bought out his partners by 1992 and became the sole owner until he retired in 2014. Through the earlier years of Dynequip, moved location from Edina to Snelling Ave in St. Paul to its current location in Maplewood just off 35E.

As the company grew and new ideas took root, an offshoot electrical control panel company, McKinley Hill, emerged and spun off. Now located in New Brighton, MN, Dynequip continues to maintain close ties for complicated PLC-based control systems.

Eric Anderson, one of the three current owners, joined the team in 1999 with Vince and after Vince retired in 2014 Dean Schell and Larry Wamstad joined to form the current ownership team in 2018.
Even though the location and ownership has changed over Dynequip’s 50-year tenure, the commitment to innovation and serving customers has not. This was evidenced in 2020 when many of Dynequip’s customers were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and its effects on how their products and manufacturing lines needed to retool to meet new demands.

Through creativity and expert engineering, we helped clients to:
1. Convert package sizes from commercial use to consumer use.
2. Add product lines into an existing manufacturing process.
3. Have ready replacement parts to limit down time for our client’s more important facilities.

One notable project was highlighted in a recent blog post. Our client needed a portable conveyor and hopper system to integrate into multiple lines within a pizza making facility. Portability and easy clean up we key features needed in the build. Read more about it here. “Custom Builds for the Food Industry.”
