As parents, we love to see the accomplishments of our children. It’s even better when we can help in some way. Larry Barlow, Dynequip Inc.’s Sales and Applications Engineer, recently had the opportunity to put his engineering expertise to work while helping his daughter, Jenna, with a project she is passionate about – Carp Solutions.
Carp Solutions is a Minnesota-based company that specializes in developing management solutions for common carp. Common carp is an invasive fish that contributes to poor water quality and lack of aquatic vegetation in many lakes in the U.S. While researching ways to control the carp population on local lakes, Carp Solutions worked with Dynequip to put in place a simple, but effective solution for “trapping carp” so they could be removed. Within in their innovative solution, Dynequip, Inc. assisted with a custom conveyor system to remove the carp from the water making it a nearly touchless removal system for the Carp Solutions volunteers
